A full 15 years after the Vatican issued a statement questioning the morality of getting vaccinated with vaccines made from aborted human fetal tissue, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England & Wales (CBCEW) has issued its own statement suggesting that Catholics have a “prima facie duty to be vaccinated,” regardless of the contents of vaccines.
According to these U.K. bishops, “all clinically recommended vaccinations can be used with a clear conscience,” despite the use of aborted baby cell lines in their manufacture.
“The Catholic Church strongly supports vaccination and regards Catholics as having a prima facie duty to be vaccinated, not only for the sake of their own health but also out of solidarity with others, especially the most vulnerable,” reads a letter published on July 30.
“We believe that there is a moral obligation to guarantee the vaccination coverage necessary for the safety of others,” it goes on to read. “This is especially important for the discovery of a vaccine against COVID-19.”
Bishops Paul Mason and John Sherrington, who are listed on the CBCEW website as “Lead Bishop for Healthcare” and “Lead Bishop for Life Issues” respectively, say that while the Church is opposed to the use of aborted human fetal tissue in childhood vaccines, getting jabbed is still important because it supposedly helps to save lives.
“[T]he Church teaches that the paramount importance of the health of a child and other vulnerable persons could permit parents to use a vaccine which was in the past developed using these diploid cell lines,” the letter further explains.
Even though they cited the pro-life 2005 Pontifical Academy for Life document entitled, “Moral reflections on vaccines prepared from cells derived from aborted human fetuses,” the bishops also cited a 2017 document from the Pontifical Academy for Life, which states:
“… all clinically recommended vaccinations can be used with a clear conscience and that the use of such vaccines does not signify some sort of cooperation with voluntary abortion.”
The burden of combating the unethical practices of Big Pharma are apparently not the concern of the general public, according to these bishops. People need to just continue getting vaccinated with whatever the vaccine industry releases for injection into children because otherwise these children might die.
“If a pregnant woman, for example a teacher in a school, comes into contact with unvaccinated children, unfair and complex moral decisions may be imposed upon her, including whether it would be safe for her to work during her pregnancy,” the letter continues.
“Exposure to unvaccinated children could incur serious consequences, the gravest of which include a threat to the lives of the mother and her unborn child.”
The letter does not explain, however, how a vaccinated pregnant teacher would be at risk of contracting illness from an unvaccinated child, seeing as how she was already vaccinated. Nevertheless, this is the position of the CBCEW, which, like the Catholic position on GMOs (genetically modified organisms), is largely nonsensical and incongruent with Christianity.
Recognizing that many Catholics are distraught at the idea of vaccinating themselves or their children with aborted human fetal tissue, these bishops reiterate in their letter that “[t]he Church distinguishes between the present unethical sourcing of vaccines and the use of historical cell-lines which were derived from aborted foetuses in the 1970s.”
In other words, stop thinking about it and just get your jabs, Catholics. Vaccines always work and are always effective, according to the CBCEW, and you will put everyone else at risk if you refuse them.
Truth be told, vaccines are not safe and effective, nor are they morally aligned with the teachings of scripture. To learn more, check out Vaccines.news.
